The design origins of this café were as a traditional corner store, but this café provides for a contemporary fit-out. The location has informed the interiors & branding with considerable focus on creating a modern corner shop identity.The brief was to create a bright busy interior with clear circulation paths due to the narrow rectangular shape of the café. Use of ply with black creates a strong contrast and highlights the form of the design. Bright coloured acrylic boxes, furniture & upholstery are used to create interest in the space and help create a busy feel to the café.A large communal ply table runs parallel with the unusually shaped counter, designed specifically for the space.
